Safeslider is Easy to Install

Installation is so simple. Follow the instructions provided with each lock.

Here is Rob June, owner of installing a lock in The Villages, FL.

First the latch is positioned in the center of the wide sliding glass doors. Make sure you place the latch high enough to be out of the reach of young children that may visit your home.

The double bolt sliding door lock assembly is installed as one unit on the sliding door itself.
All screws and hardware is included with your lock kit, all you need is a drill and a 1/8″ drill bit.

Tighten up your screws, pop in the lock cover and you are done usually in less that 20 minutes. The added security will be well worth the investment!

I will soon purchase a replacement patio door and wish to install a “Safe Slider Double Bolt” device. I have read the reviews and noticed that it will not fit every door due to a difference in the jams prohibiting proper installation of the Safe Slider. What should I look for in the new door to make sure my Safe Slider will fit ???

Can we leave the existing handle and flip-type lock on our sliding door and just install the safeslider above the existing lock? The handle is polished brass and looks nice, so we wouldn’t want to have to take that off. Thanks for your help.

Hello, Sorry for such a Late response , just saw it ? Yes you can Leave existing handles and locks . Instruction video shows we usually mount at eye level, for Child Safety and more easily used.

My door jamb surface is not entirely flat. It has a 1/8 inch wide recessed groove running down the middle. Will the provided screws be long enough if I have to drill there? If yes, will it be just as secure as a flat door jamb surface? Thanks!

I have an a Pella sliding door and it slides on the outside instead of the inside of the doorway. Will this still work with my type of door or only with an inside sliding door?
